The Ivins band

U.S. Embassy Khartoum was pleased to participate in Belad Al-Noor Festival on Friday, March 3, in Atbara, Sudan’s historic city of Fire and Iron. Through American Music Abroad, the U.S. Embassy Khartoum was able to bring The Ivins, an alternative rock band from Nashville, TN, to perform at the Railway Headquarters—where thousands attended an event featuring Sudan’s legendary King of Jazz, Dr. Sharhabeel Ahmed, and Egd Al-Jalad.
On their way to Atbara, the band members briefly visited the pyramids in Bejrawiya to learn about the civilization that existed here thousands of years ago.
