Only persons selected for further consideration will be contacted and advised of the date and time for interview and testing. English proficiency (oral and written) testing is required. More than one appointment may be necessary. Only candidates attending the interview will be required to provide supporting documentation; for example, ID, licenses, educational certificates. All supporting documentation must be in English or translated.

Official Residence Expenses (ORE) are those unusual expenses which a Principal Representative is obliged to incur in the operation and maintenance of a suitable official residence in which s/he can properly represent the United States abroad by extending official (as distinct from personal) hospitality to foreign dignitaries and important visitors. These expenses must be in excess of the usual expenses incident to the operation and maintenance of the Residence s/he would occupy if serving at the post in any other capacity.
